This cherrywood desk is perfectly handmade with an all wood construction including the joinery. Handmade in the mountains of Oregon, the piece is primarily some kind of cherry wood. A single drawer glides smoothly and features ergonomic pulls. The design is simple, postmodern Shaker style (Arts &Crafts) and truly timeless. The inside of the drawer reads "Falcon Designs, Deadwood OR 1993, Robert P. Theiss".
Robert P.Theiss startedFalcon Designs in 1979. His work has beenfeatured in Fine Homebuilding, Woodwork Magazine, Fine Furniture Design Book #5, Old House Interiors, American Bungalow, Better Homes and Garden and in the Bellevue Art Museum.
This piece is in excellent condition and has been lovingly preserved with only very minor signs of age.
