Glamorous Hollywood Regency floor lamp by Paul Hanson Co. NY (c. 1960s). A tapered and turned style goldbase is crowned by a dramablack drum shade with gold trim (the black band at the bottom of the base makes this wonderfully symmetrical). This is a perfect sofa or chair-side floor lamp and will get you in the mood for gossip or whatever else might make your evening.
This piece is in overall very good vintage condition. The base presents as bright and has minimal patination. The shade is free from creases or cracks, but it does look like someone got fresh with a paint brush in one spot (pictured). This piece is functioning and has a standard two-prong plug.
