Vintage Lucite Table with Reupholstered Chairs - Blue Peony
This vintage lucite table set hits all the marks for a gorgeous moment. The waterfall style chairs have been reupholstered in an electric blue peony fabric. The giant blooms are a nod to Dorothy Draper who famously drenched her designs in a giant cabbage rose pattern and also scandalously applied black to wall treatments, transforming her clients into the talk of the town.
A thick beveled glass slab sits atop a lucite base which has the inverse shape of the chair backs. It has perfect balance in the original design, and we absolutely love how the new seats just pop through the negative space.
The chairs are unmarked but are in the style of Charles Hollis Jones, and are likely made by Wycombe, Meyer & Co.
This is truly for the bold and the beautiful.
